Media revealed the first photos Wednesday from the Havana, Cuba peace talks between FARC and the Colombian government, showing 10 delegates from each party sitting face to face discussing the peace agenda.

From the images and an alleged released video, it appears as though the peace talks are progressing in a calm and steady manner, portraying an optimistic image for many Colombians that are anxious about the peace process, reported Caracol Radio.

“What is important is to delve into one item of the agenda, what we want is to advance rapidly, it is a serious scheme.  We have no intention of making a racket but rather, show serious work; the Government sees that there are always options then they maintain that line and the parties maintain that seriousness,” said the government’s chief negotiatior Humberto de la Calle Tuesday.

The images show not only the FARC and Colombian negotiators but the guarantors from Norway and Cuba who are also mediating the peace talks.

Peace talks reconvened in Havana, Cuba on Monday with the two delegations meeting to discuss land and urban development for 10 days five hours a day.
