Finnish rock giants Children of Bodom will return to Bogota in December as part of their “The Ugly World Tour 2011”.

The tour will kick off in Mexico on November 24 and will end with a huge final show at the Teatro Metropol in Bogota on December 12. The tour will be promoting their latest album “Relentless, Reckless Forever”.

The band, led by hugely talented frontman Alexi Laiho, have defied critic categorization; having been described as melodic death metal, black metal, thrash metal and power metal over the years.

The Finnish collective showed their versatility on their 2007 release, when they covered a broad range of genres from pop and glam rock to thrash metal and punk.

Alexi Laiho is widely considered one of the greatest guitarists of his generation, with Guitar World ranking him in the top 100 Heavy Metal Guitarists of all time and Roadrunner Records naming him in their top 50 Metal Frontmen of All Time.

Children of Bodom Played at the 2008 Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards, and Laiho received the Dimebag Award for “Best Shredder” in the same year.

Children of Bodom have released seven studio albums to date, with the last three all going straight to number one in the Finnish album chart. They have also enjoyed international chart success, breaking into the U.S. Billboard 200 with their last three releases.
