A man from the north of Colombia was arrested for forcing his underage children to have sex with a donkey.
According to a local newspaper, the man was arrested by authorities in the Caribbean department of Sucre last week after his ex-wife had filed a complaint over the two children’s allegedly involuntary sexual encounters with donkeys following the couple’s separation.
Following an investigation, police arrested the 31-year old suspect and prosecutors charged him with child abuse as the children were younger than 14 — the age of consent in Colombia.
While taboo in other parts of the country, having sex with female donkeys is tradition in parts of Colombia’s Caribbean region.
