Alleged members of Colombia’s largest rebel group FARC have attacked a police post in the south of the country Tuesday, local media reported. At least one policemen was killed and civilians may have been injured.

According to the reports, the early-morning attack took place on a roadside checkpoint 3 miles outside of Mocoa, the capital of the Putumayo department.

Caracol Radio reported one dead policemen, four injured and one missing. Newspaper El Espectador said there might be civilians among the injured.

According to Bogota-based radio station Santa Fe, five policemen were injured as well as two girls and a 37-year-old woman.
