Colombia’s Minister of Defense said Monday the Armed Forces are
advancing in their persecution of the FARC leadership. “We now have
every member of the Secretariat running.”
According to the Minister, new technology has enabled the air force to take detailed pictures of areas where they suspect FARC commanders to be hiding, helping the ground troops to persecute the members more precisely.
The Minister confirmed that the armed forces are also using unmanned airplanes and that they intend to use more.
Earlier the armed forces denied having unmanned airplanes after the FARC claimed to have downed one.
