FARC leader injured hand in attack, says Defense Minister

Alfonso Cano, leader of Colombia’s largest rebel group FARC, injured
his hand in a confrontation with the Colombian army, Defense
Minister Juan Manuel Santos said Thursday.

Santos told Caracol Radio the FARC head was injured two months ago when Colombian armed forces surrounded his camp.

“Alfonso Cano is going through difficult times. We have had confirmed one of his hands got injured,” the Defense Minister said.

The Minister wouldn’t give any details about the attack and the FARC top commander’s alleged wounded hand.
