Five FARC guerrillas were demobilized and another two were killed during a clash with the Colombian Army in the southwest of the country, reported Caracol Radio Tuesday.
The rebels were believed to belong to the FARC’s 17th Front which largely operates in the Huila department. Two women identified by the aliases “Viviana” and “Claudia” were allegedly killed while five guerrilla members were reportedly demobilized.
An abundant amount of war material was also said to be seized by the army during combat, including approximately 95 pounds of explosives as well as other dangerous material.
