FARC guerrillas have burned a bus in the northern part of Colombia, local authorities said Tuesday.
The alleged FARC guerrillas approached the bus, owned by the bus company Coonorte, in civilian clothing and forced the driver and the 15 passengers to leave and then proceeded to set the bus on fire, reported radio station Caracol.
The attack took place in the limits between the Toledo and San Andrés de Cuerquia municipalities, located some 80 miles north of Colombia’s second largest city Medellin.
Authorities attributed the attack to the 36th Front of the FARC, which is active in much of northern Antioquia.
This is the seventh bus belonging to the Coonorte company burned by alleged FARC guerrillas in Antioquia so far this year.
