Alleged FARC guerrillas have burnt four public transport bused in six days in the northwest of Colombia, reported radio station Caracol Thursday.
The latest attack took place Thursday in the Dabeiba municipality, on the road which connects the city of Medellin with the northwestern Uraba region. According to witnesses, the alleged guerrillas forced the driver and passengers to leave and then proceeded to set the bus on fire.
According to the radio station, this was the fourth public transport vehicle destroyed by alleged FARC guerrillas over the past six days in the department of Antioquia
On Friday, alleged rebels burned a bus between the Toledo and San Andres de Cuerquia municipalities, while two buses were destroyed on Tuesday and Wednesday in Ituango and Toledo. There were no reports of civilian casualties.
The FARC’s 36th, 18th, 5th and 34th Fronts are active in the areas where the attacks took place.
