FARC attacks kill 2 policemen

FARC attacks on the villages of Toribio and Jambalo in the Cauca department have left two policemen dead and two injured, Caracol Radio reported Wednesday.

A group of guerrillas attacked the police headquarters in Toribio with gas cylinder bombs and rifles.

Meanwhile, FARC guerrillas attacked the town of Jambalo for the second time in four days, throwing explosives at the police station and damaging several homes.

Local Government Secretary Daniel Marino Tombe said that an explosion near a house providing shelter for 30 refugee families who were affected by the first FARC raid nearly caused a tragedy.
