Radamel Falcao was nominated for the FIFA Puskas ‘Goal of the Season’ award Wednesday for his spectacular overhead kick against America de Cali earlier this season.
Colombia’s star striker was playing for his club side Atletico Madrid in a friendly against the Colombian outfit when he left supporters gob smacked with an acrobatic bicycle kick from the edge of the area which flew into the top corner.
Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi and last year’s winner Neymar are also among the 10 nominees with the winner to be announced at the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala in December.
The winner of this award will come down to a fans vote which can be accessed on the official FIFA website.
