Falcao is happy at Altetico Madrid: Boss

Colombia’s soccer star Radamel Falcao is happy to stay at Atletico Madrid according to his manager Diego Simeone.

Falcao’s stock has been rising among the elite of European football ever since his spectacular start to the season where he netted in 10 consecutive games for club and country.

His goal scoring form has alerted the attentions of English Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City as well as Atletico’s city rivals Real Madrid, who have all been linked with a move for the 26-year old.

Although “El Tigre” has struggled to find the net recently, drawing a blank in his last three games, Simeone remains confident that his star player is still happy to stay at the club.

He said. “In the dressing room we do not think of the Falcao issue. He is happy to be with us.”

Falcao has himself revealed that he is currently happy with life in Madrid but has not hidden his desire to test himself in the top leagues in Europe in the future.

With 10 goals Falcao lies third in the Spanish La Liga scoring charts, seven behind leader Lionel Messi and two behind Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid.

All three players have been nominated for FIFA’s Ballon d’Or award for ‘Player of the Season’ and Simone is backing his Atletico goal machine to pip the two to the award.

“It’s what I believe. I am not trying to satisfy anyone. I say what I think. I am not just supporting Falcao, I am being realistic,” added the Argentine.
