One of Colombia national soccer team’s most coveted player, Radamel Falcao, announced this weekend that he is back in full training following a month-long calf injury.
In spite of last week’s reports that the Colombian striker suffered a relapse extending his absence for another two weeks, Falcao made a surprising come back to the training ground this weekend.
The Colombian center forward has gone missing with a calf injury in the last four games for Manchester United, and has featured in only two matches in the last eight weeks in England. He also missed out on the latest string of Colombia’s friendly games.

Last Thursday, the manager of the English club Louis van Gaal declared Falcao “injured again” and refused to speculate on the date of “El Tigre’s” potential return.
“Now it’s four weeks already. Next week he shall train and then he needs two weeks. It’s a pity, but players in football are injured,” said the Dutch coach.
However, Falcao , who until now has only managed one goal in five games this season, took to social networking site Twitter on Sunday to confirm his return to training after over a month out of action.
“Back to training 100 % and ready to help the team in the next games” wrote “El Tigre”. The “tweet” was accompanied by the player’s picture during practice sessions with other teammates.
Just a few days ago, Falcao used the same route to criticize the media for speculating on his fitness.
“I feel well and I hope to come back to the pitch soon,” said the striker, before adding “it detracts from the credibility of the media that there is so much speculation and so many falsehoods.”
For now, Falcao quashes growing concerns over his fitness, as he will be hopeful to make the first team in the coming days.
However, United will now play two games in the space of just four days, and the Colombian goalscorer is likely to sit out.
