Colombia’s military command on Tuesday commented on the killing of an Ecuadorean minor in a air raid on a FARC camp.
Jairo Antonio Erazo, chief of the Joint Pacific Command, told Caracol Radio that the bombing was conducted close to the Ecuadorean border, but in Colombian territory.
According to the military official, “these terrorist groups continue to violate human rights and especially those of children like in the case of the Ecuadorean minor that was found in the FARC [camp], but was from the town of Santa Barbara,” an Ecuadorean village less than 15 miles from the bombing site.
According to Defense Minister Rodrigo Rivera, the bombing was “a decisive blow to the 48th Front, the structure that generates the most resources to the FARC through drug trafficking.”
