A man almost loses his ear during a street fight in Bucaramanga, in the north Colombian Santander department, El Espectador reported on Wednesday.
The victim is recovering in Hospital Universitario de Santander where doctors say they cannot repair the ear because the bite tore through too much cartilage.
The attacker, who started the fight over a woman, has been arrested by police.
Several surgeries will be needed to ensure the man does not lose his hearing.
