Colombia news - National Library in Bogota

Colombia’s National Library owns a treasure trove of old books and documents that are not publicly available. Colombia Reports was allowed a peek in the library’s archives.

Over its 300 years of existence the library obtained the private collections of many prominent Colombians, and for a long time was the country’s official national archive.

The National Library is in the process of digitalizing its archive and putting its collection online.
