DISINFORMATION: Santos voodoo doll found at Uribe’s home

Colombia news - Voodoo

Investigators have found a voodoo doll depicting Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos in the home of his predecessor Alvaro Uribe.

According to the country’s Prosecutor General’s Office, the doll was found while investigators searched the property looking for evidence that could support accusations the former president helped form a paramilitary death squad while he was governor of the Antioquia department.

Uribe’s defense attorney, Jaime Granados, told reporters that the doll did not belong to Uribe.

“The prosecutors are obviously trying to frame my client as part of a satanic conspiracy to discredit Mr. Uribe’s succcesses in dismantling the criminal groups” he allegedly also founded, said Granados.

“Besides, my client is a strict catholic and wouldn’t go near any of that pagan abacadabra,” the attorney added. “He stays true to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ who has frequently preached forgiveness. My client holds no grudge against that back-stabbing, two-faced, liberal thief.”

The Prosecutor General’s Office announced that it would investigate the doll, especially because a pin was found in the doll’s pelvis.

“This could indicate Mr. Uribe’s complicity in the recent prostate cancer established in the president,” said a prosecution spokesman.

Santos and his former boss have been on bad terms ever since Colombia’s Prosecutor General’s Office began investigating Uribe and his family members and closest allies who are facing numerous corruption and “parapolitics” charges.
