Santa Fé moved into third place in the Colombian Copa Mustang following
a hard-fought win over Deportivo Pereira, while Real Cartagena added
another win to their account against América de Cali.
In Bogotá, Santa Fé needed 21 minutes for Anselmo De Almeida to open the score, but Pereira came back as Mario Giménez equalised with ten minutes to go. The hosts continued to attack though and got their reward three minutes into added time, when Cristian Nazarit headed home from a corner.
Similar drama occurred at the match between Cartagena and defending champions América, as José Nájera netted the only and therefore winning goal in the very last minute of injury time. The visitors had Jorge Banguero sent off on 29 minutes and Alexander Del Castillo followed in the 86th.
Another match that was decided late on was the game between Pasto and Quindío. A scoreless draw seemed to be in the making but Sebastián Hernández earned the away side three points by scoring the decider with eight minutes to go.
Cúcuta Deportivo found their way into the top eight with a 1-2 win at Atlético Huila. Roberto Gamarra put the guests ahead on 10 minutes but Iván Velásquez equalised ten minutes later. The winner came with two minutes to go, with Gamarra netting his second of the day.
As opposed to the other games, all goals at Once Caldas versus Deportes Tolima were scored in the opening phase. Dayron Pérez got the opener for the home side on six minutes, but Rodrigo Marangoni balanced things five minutes later. The winner came after another three minutes and was scored by Alexis Henriquez.
Boyacá Chicó, who beat La Equidad on Saturday, remain in first place with a two-points advantage over Junior, Santa Fé, Cartagena and Quindío.
