Colombia’s national soccer team arrived in the coastal Brazilian city of Fortaleza Tuesday night, where they will face-off against the World Cup host nation in Colombia’s first ever quarterfinals Friday.
Colombia cruised 2-0 through their match with Uruguay to advance the furthest Colombia has ever advanced in World Cup history. Brazil, meanwhile, struggled in their match against Chile, winning 3-2 in penalties.

Today, Colombia’s national team will have their first practice at the Fortaleza University, where Coach Jose Pekerman is expected to host a press conference.
Colombia is currently making history by advancing the furthest it has ever gone in the World Cup.
Colombia is sure to face it’s toughest challenge against the star studded Brazilian team. However, Brazil must also be cautious of the Colombian national team and the top scorer of the World Cup so far. Colombia’s James Rodriguez currently stands alone with five goals compared to the four of Argentina’s Lionel Messi, Brazil’s Neymar, and Germany’s Thomas Muller.
