Colombia’s consumer prices rose 0.31% in September compared to the month before, the country’s statistics agency announced Wednesday.
According to statistics agency DANE, prices have risen 3.73% since September 2010.
In the course of this year, there has been a variation of 2.95%, which has increased 0.55% from 2.4% of the same period last year.
The rise is mostly due to an price increase basic consumer goods like housing and food, which respectively rose 0.6% and 0.47%.
According to economic daily Portafolio, the 3.73% yearly inflation in Colombia is little more than half of the average inflation in Latin America, which was 7% on the year.
