Colombia’s biggest Pacific music festival begins in Cali

Colombia News - Petronio Alvarez Pacific Music

Cali celebrates Colombia’s Pacific music and culture with their Petronio Alvarez Festival from August 24-28 and attracts thousands of music fans and visitors.

It is an event that unites many of the elements that make up the indigenous culture of the Pacific, including its history of the region and culture of food, music, and beauty. This year the celebrations will take place at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium and promises a wide range of musical artists and events.

The festival will be hosting more than 60 confirmed musical groups, and the guest musicians have traveled from Choco, Valle, Cauca, Nariño, Risaralda, Antioquia, and Cundinamarca for this epic celebration.

Where: Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero

August 24-27: Musical Competition, 6PM-11:30PM
August 24-28: Indigenous food, art, and drinks from the Colombian Pacific, 10AM-11PM
August 24-28: Colombian cultural dance in the north and south plazas of the Estadio Pascual Guerrero, 3PM-8PM
August 27: Gala Night with special guests, 6PM-11PM
August 28: Grand Finale, 6PM-10:30PM
