Colombians support US military presence: RCN

More than half of Colombians support the deployment of U.S. troops in
their country, according to a survey by television network Canal RCN boradcast
Monday.

55.35% of Colombians agree to U.S. military presence in Colombia, while 36.29% disagree and 8.36% have no opinion on the matter, the RCN revealed revealed.

RCN interviewed 1000 men and women in nine cities last weekend. With 59.5% in favor, Colombians between 18 to 24 years are most supportive of a US-Colombian deal.

The Colombian government recently announced a deal is being made allowing US troops to use Colombian military facilities for anti-narcotics operations.
