Colombian cyclist Rigoberto Uran moved into the top 10 of the Tour de France Tuesday.
Uran broke into the leaders’ bracket by finishing the 16th stage four minutes and 44 seconds behind the stage winner, Norwegian Thor Hushovd.
The 24-year-old rider is currently leading the youth group and has maintained the white jersey for three consecutive stages. He is one minute and seven seconds ahead of Estonian Rein Taaramae, the current second place youth rider.
Colombian Leonardo Duque crashed in the 60th mile of the 100-mile stage. He did not sustain any serious injuries and was able finish the stage. He currently ranks 125th overall and is just over two hours behind first place.
With five stages left in the tournament, a top 10 finish is Uran’s to lose.
