League leaders Tolima face a Medellin team on a dreadful run, while second-placed Huila host second-bottom Caldas.

The weekend’s action kicks off Friday with Atletico Nacional’s visit to Bogota minnows La Equidad. Both clubs enter the match on five-game winless runs, although the pressure hangs heavier over the Medellin club, who sit just five points above bottom-placed Cacuta Deportivo.

Saturday brings the south Medellin derby, with Itagui Ditaires making the 5km journey to face Envigado. Envigado’s run of just one win in twelve games must come to an end for them to maintain hopes of a top-eight finish, while Itagui need a win to keep up with the chasing pack.

Saturday evening sees Once Caldas travel south to face Atletico Huila. Caldas have conceded eight goals in their last three away games, while last month’s loss to Junior was Huila’s only home defeat of the Apertura campaign.

Sunday afternoon takes Deportes Tolima to the Atanasio Girardot Stadium. Hosts Independiente Medellin have failed to win in seven games, while Tolima have lost just once in their past eight away league matches. Top scorer Robin Ramirez needs one goal to hit double figures in the Apertura campaign.

Sunday evening pits Bogota giants Millionarios against Deportes Quindio. Millionarios have not won in Quindio’s Centenario Stadium since 2008, but must secure three points to prove that last week’s victory over Medellin was not just another false dawn in a disappointing Apertura campaign.

For a full fixtures list and table, look right.
