Colombian police seize 115 grenades in ‘Los Rastrojos’ cache

Colombian police seized 115 grenades belonging to the drug trafficking organization “Los Rastrojos” in the western department of Valle del Cauca, Colombian media reported Monday.

According to authorities, seventy-five M26 fragmentation hand grenades were found, along with forty 40mm grenades used in MGL grenade launchers.

The raid was the culmination of several months of investigation, in which authorities determined that a seemingly abandoned house in the coastal municipality of Trujillo contained a cache of explosives. The Valle National Police suspect the house belongs to alias “Echeverri” of Los Rastrojos.

The police made no arrests in the raid.
