Colombian Navy rescues 43 from capsized boat in Pacific

The Colombian Navy rescued 43 passengers, including five children and seven women, from a boat that capsized off the Pacific coast.

The ship was adrift in an area known as Punta Coco after suffering mechanical failures while travelling between the Cauca coast in the south and the port of Buenaventura, Colombian media reported.

According to the Colombian Navy, the Coast Guard this year has managed to rescue over 400 people in emergencies in the Colombian Pacific Ocean so far this year.
