Scaling the corporate ladder wasn’t enough. Seventeen Colombian business executives began their ascent of Mt. Mckinley Wednesday, as part of their plan to climb the highest mountain on each continent.
They’ve already conquered Mt. Everest and Mt. Kilimanjaro, and are now moving on to the tallest mountain in North America. They plan to reach the summit on June 10 and return to Colombia June 18 — with just four more mountains to go.
The executives were sponsored by Pacific Rubiales, the crude oil and natural gas company based in Colombia and Peru. The corporation decided to sponsor the mountain climbers because their story could inspire other Colombians, a corporate spokesman told W radio.
