A sixth man was arrested Monday for co-authoring the massacre of 10 people in the northwestern village of Santa Rosa de Osos on November 7.
Ramiro Alberto Perez, alias “Cascara,” and allegedly second in command to “Jorge 18” of the feared “Rastrojos” drug cartel was captured Monday along with two others for murdering 10 peasants in a farmhouse in northern Colombia, CMI news reported.
“Jorge 18,” an incarcerated ex-leader of the Rastrojos, has been blamed for ordering the killing and three other members of a Rastrojos splinter group called the “Renacentistas” were captured on November 15, making six apprehensions in total for the cold blooded massacre that left 10 Colombians dead 20 miles north of Medellin in Antioquia.
According to Santa Fe Radio, upon receiving Jorge 18’s orders from jail to kill the peasants, Cascara orchestrated the killings, contacted the other gang members and planned the logistics of the November 7 massacre.
