Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Colombia was up 56% in May compared to the same month last year, President Juan Manuel Santos said Friday.
Santos, speaking at a banking convention in Cartagena, said the increase in FDI proves Colombia has become a country safe for foreign investors and lenders.
The President emphasized the importance of recent upgrades the country received from investment grading companies like Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s and Fitch.
