Colombia expelled former Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku Wednesday night, the country’s intelligence service DAS announced.
Ceku was expelled immediately after attending the First International Congress of Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration, that ended in Cartagena Wednesday.
A DAS official confirmed the former PM was expelled to press agency Efe, but wouldn’t say where Ceku was sent to.
Serbia had asked for the arrest and extradition of the former commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army and Prime Minister of the autonomous department in Serbia for his alleged responsibility in the murder of more than 600 ethnic Serbs during the 1999 uprising.
The Interpol arrest warrent is not supported by the former Yugoslavia tribunal that never indicted Ceku for war crimes.
