Colombia’s Foreign Minister Monday said the country’s government
does not rule out denouncing neighboring countries Venezuela and
Ecuador before international courts for respectively supporting and
receiving support of Colombia’s largest rebel group FARC.
“Just let me say that concerning these issues Colombia generally does not rule out any option and all possibilities are on the table,” Foreign Minister Jaime Bermudez told press in Bogota.
Bermudez refused to go into the current problems Colombia has with Venezuela and Ecuador.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez recently froze diplomatic relations and threatens to suspend trade over the alleged delivery of rocket launchers by the Venezuelan army to the FARC. Colombia accuses Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa of having received financial support of the rebels.
