Civilians dead and wounded by FARC’s attack

FARC rebels attacked a house in southern Colombia and left one dead and eight wounded on Monday, reported military sources.

The attack took place in the jungle town of Uribe, where FARC guerillas threw a grenade at a group of people inside a house, killing one and wounding eight.

According to a military spokesman four of the wounded remain in critical condition at a hospital in the city of Villavicencio.

This was the second attack FARC perpetuated on civilians on Monday.

The FARC also attacked an ambulance in the north of Antioquia and hurt a nurse after the vehicle ignored a stop sign at an illegal checkpoint installed by the rebels.
