China donates US$300,000 for flood relief

China on Tuesday announced a donation of US$300,000 to help rain-ravaged Colombia.

“To help the Colombian government with relief work,
China decided to donate US$300,000,” Foreign Ministry
spokesman Qin Gang said in a statement.

Colombia was hit by heavy downpours
during the country’s second rainy season, which began in September. At
least 67 people were killed and 94 others were injured. Almost 1
million people were affected.

China’s Red Cross donated US$50,000 to Colombia. (Xinhua)
