A Chilean man who gained international fame for sounding exactly like Colombian pop star Shakira, reappeared on television looking like his musical hero.
The man, Rodolfo Burgos gained his fame on the television show “Yo Soy” (I Am) for sounding almost exactly the same as Shakira. However, Burgos didn’t win the television show because he didn’t look like the person he was trying to impersonate.
So, instead of giving up, the Chilean stepped it up, had his legs waxed, put on make-up, a fake wig and fake breasts and returned to the national television show not just sounding, but also looking like his hero.
Burgos was quick to clarify that he was neither gay nor had transsexual fantasies, but was a big fan of Shakira and wanted to do her honor not just by sounding, but also looking like the Colombian.
His impersonation did not go unnoticed and Shakira herself visited her Chilean fan while in Chile.
