At the age of 33, Colombian actress Carolina Gomez is considered too
old to star as Meredith Grey in the Colombian version of ‘Grey’s
Anatomy’, gossip website entretengo
reported Monday.
The former beauty queen of Colombia and first runner up at Miss Universe was initially chosen to star in the series which will set in a Bogota hospital.
Gomez will be replaced by actress and singer Veronica Orozco, who is significantly younger than Carolina.
The Colombian version of ‘Grey’s anatomy’ will be produced by Jaime Sanchez Cristo from Vista Productions. The series will be screened on the RCN channel.
