The Cali Exposhow 2011, Colombia’s most prominent international fair of beauty, fashion, and health, will be held for its 11th year from October 18-22.

The event will be held at the Centro de Eventos Valle del Pacifico and promises five full days of fashion shows, trade shows, specialized symposiums, and plenty of fabulous shopping opportunities.

This year international special guest is Italian designer Alberta Ferretti with her namesake brand Philosophy and trendy label Moschino which will both be represented at the Cali Exposhow.

There will also be lots of prominent national designers at the event this year, including Carlos Arturo Zapata, Hernan Zajar, Johanna Ortiz, Judy Hazburn, and Renata Lozano.

The manager of the Cali Exposhow and president of the Valle del Cauca Fenalco (Colombia’s National Commerce Federation), Rosa Jaluf de Castro, explained that “the event has strengthened the image of Cali in Colombia and the world, and most importantly has marked the development of the industries of health, beauty, fashion, tourism, food, production, and logistics of the event… generating great economic and trade dynamics not only in Cali, but for the entire Valle del Cauca and the country.”

General entrance tickets to the event are only $4 dollars via TuBoleta.com, afternoon fashion show tickets are $14 and evening shows are $25, and entrance to the international catwalk shows are $135.

Forums on fashion, aesthetics, and plastic surgery are offering student prices of $47 and general entrance for $63 dollars.

Last year, for the event’s 10th anniversary, the fashion fair received roughly 170,000 visitors and 800 journalists, created 10,000 direct and indirect jobs, and netted sales of an estimated $26.2 million dollars.
