Colombia news - Butt Job

Investigations commence after a Colombian woman left to get “butt implants” and mysteriously turned up dead in a hospital the following day.

Paola Suarez, 35, an employee of a beauty products company in Colombia’s capital Bogota, went on Sunday morning to to undergo plastic surgery to augment the size of her posterior at an aesthetic center. She was reported dead the next day.

According to newspaper El Tiempo, Paola’s brother called her a couple hours after she had left for the procedure but only got a response that she was about to enter surgery.

By nightfall the family had received no word from Paola and began calling her cell phone over and over. “It rang and rang and no one answered. By 12 that night we realized that they had turned off her phone. The doctor of the aesthetic center, Damaris Perdomo, did not answer either. It seemed very weird,” said Paola’s sister.

Finally at three in the morning the aesthetic center allegedly answered their phone, saying that they knew nothing of the Suarez’ family member and proceeded to turn off their phone.

The drama continued when the Suarez family made another call later on, when a supposed family member of Doctor Perdomo told them that an esthetician had found Paola in shock and had taken her to the hospital where she died.

Paola’s sister believed that the esthetician killed her sister saying, “the woman doesn’t want to say anything more to us. We believe that this esthetician woman killed my sister.”

The Suarez family has instituted a complaint to the Prosecutor’s Office to establish whether the death of Paola was from the aesthetic center or elsewhere.
