Another bus was attacked and burned by an unidentified armed group in the southern state of Huila on Wednesday, the 11th such attack since the end of August, according to local media.
None were injured in the attack, thought the gunmen did “fire indiscriminately” to make the passengers exit the vehicle, prohibiting them from removing their luggage and goods before setting fire to bus.
The attack reportedly happened just after noon on Wednesday near the municipality of Tesalia.
The event occurred just days before a meeting was scheduled between the police, army, and local governing authorities in order to discuss public order in the nearby municipalities, according to La Nacion.
Among the proposals to enhance order and security are the control of drinking establishments, motorcycle circulation, and the parking of vehicles in the street.
Authorities have been unable to identify the perpetrators or armed groups behind the attacks.
