The picture of a Bogota police van seemingly participating in an illegal street race was leaked to local television outlets.
A bystander managed to snap the picture showing a police van lined up with two other cars at what appears to be a makeshift starting line awaiting signal from someone who may be telling them to start their engines.
The photo was later sent to a local television news station.
According to newspaper Semana, Bogota police have launched an investigation into the incident, but have so far refused to comment.
