Bogotá Police capture alleged baby traffickers

Bogotá Police captured two women and a man who, according to authorities, are guilty of stealing babies with the intent to sell them.

The women were caught after they had stolen a baby from the Las Cruces neighborhood in the Colombian capital. The baby was found in good health.

They are said to be part of a network that had been going around neighborhoods gathering personal information from the mothers of newly born babies.

The authorities did not say how many babies have been reported stolen.
