Miss Maja Colombia, one of the most celebrated beauty pageants in Colombia, is ready to present its contestants for 2012, reported newspaper Vanguardia Tuesday.
Participants include the representative from Bucaramanga in northeast Colombia, 22-year-old Katherine Paredes Garcia, a finalist for Miss Santander 2011 who currently works for Staff Modeling agency.
The representative for Santander, also in northeast Colombia, is 23-year-old Maria Fernanda Zambrano Carrillo, signed with the same modeling agency.
The jury consists of beauty queen Miss Haiti, Sarodj Bertin, celebrity plastic surgeon Julio Cesar Mogollon and former Miss Maja Colombia, Miriam Ignacio Olivera.
The winner will be announced May 16.
