Authorities seize half a ton of explosives from ELN

Colombian authorities Friday found 550 kilos of explosives and other
materials for preparing bombs in three abandoned camps of the ELN in
the Casanare department.

“We seized 12 packages of explosive Anfo weighing around 550 kilos, 600 detonators, 640 meters of detonating cord, a handmade grenade and two ramps for launching bombs,” the DAS said in a statement.

According to investigations, the camps belong to the ELN column Jose David Suarez that operates in Aguazul, Yopal, Nunchia and Tamara, all in the Casanare department.
