Residents of the northern Colombian town of Barrancabermeja are gearing up for a literal witch-hunt after some mystical markings were found in a nearby forest.
Park rangers came across the carvings, along with several burnt-out candles, whilst they were clearing an area of the forest close to the town’s Yerima neighborhood.
Locals are convinced that what the authorities stumbled upon was a site used for secret sorcery and witchy rituals.
Resident Nini Johanna Moreno was quick to point the finger.
“There’s a lady who lives next to the lane and she’s a witch, because every day at all hours she goes to the forest to do rituals,” said the concerned woman.
Moreno said that luckily she’s not afraid of witches as her faith in God is strong enough to overcome any mystical mayhem.
