Bogota’s Estereo Picnic festival reveals spectacular line-up for 2014 edition

The organizers of next year’s Estereo Picinic festival on Monday released the official list of artists, including the Pixies, Nine Inch Nails and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Next year’s Estereo Picinic festival will take place between the 3rd and 5th of April in Colombia’s capital Bogota.

Aside Nine Inch Nails, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pixies, the list of artists includes names like Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Tïesto, Gogol Bordello and the Fabulosos Cadillacs.

An unusual case of posters with a hoax line-up went viral on social media two weeks ago, causing confusion among fans.

It will be the first appearance of Nine Inch Nails in Colombia after their last gig was canceled due to technical problems two years ago. Leader and creator of the band, Trent Reznor, has been one of the most influential producers of rock music in the last two decades.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers will perform the second time in Colombia along with the Pixies – two bands that have played a similar important role in the alternative rock scene since the 1990s.

Among the Colombian names are: Bomba Estereo, La 33, Monsieur Perine, the Petit Fellas, Arbol de ojos, Mateo Lewis and Charles King.

Stacked with these kind of names, this concert will easily be one of the most ambitious events of Colombian rock history so far.

Tickets can be purchased online for $237,00 (COP450.000) after November 14th.
