Colombia’s civil aeronautics agency Aerocivil reported on Wednesday that domestic air travel increased 19.4% during the first seven months of 2013 compared to the same period last year.
According to Caracol Radio, this equates to 2,628,000 more than in the same period last year, rising from 13,560,000 to 16,188,000 total passengers.
International flights during the same period experienced an increase of 13.5%, reaching 4,972,000 passengers, up 592,000 on the same period last year.
In the domestic market, there was an increase of 22.2% during the same period, with the total number of passengers rising to 11,217,000 when compared to 9,180,000 during the first seven months of 2012.
