Family fights over acceptable Scrabble words are nothing new, and purists may be up in arms, denouncing the “dumbing down” of the delightful diversion. But faithful fans of Colombia’s Barranquilla babe are bouncing in their comfy arm chairs in excitement.
The success of the Colombian hip shaker, ranging from her notable philanthropy and political activism, to over 50 million album sales and the record for biggest selling single of the decade (“Hips Don’t Lie”) should ensure that Shakira has enough kudos under her slender belt to satisfy even the most pernickety of players.
