An international arrest warrant was issued for Colombian model and beauty queen Angie Sanclemente Valencia, who is believed to head a large scale drug-trafficking operation using a glamorous group of female smugglers.

According to British media, the 30-year-old bombshell is suspected of recruiting a team of alluring young models and beauty queens – women that she refers to as her “unsuspicious, beautiful angels” – to transport cocaine from her home in Argentina to locations in Western Europe.

The glamorous young drug mules were reportedly paid thousands of dollars for each operation.

Colombian-born Sanclemente, who was crowned the 2000 Queen of Coffee in her native country, is said to have been seeing a Mexican drug lord known as “The Monster” but left him at the end of last year to form her own cocaine-smuggling gang.

Since then she had been heading a complex operation, where the women, who were told to be “nice, but not flashy,” would catch flights to various locations once every 24 hours carrying a load of the illegal drug.

Some weeks ago, however, Sanclemente’s drug syndicate was exposed when one of her 21-year-old “angels” was found carrying 55kg of cocaine in her suitcase at Buenos Aires airport.

The “angel” revealed the details of the operation to local police and said she had made no attempt to hide the load of drugs because she’d been told no one would stop her at the airport.

Three others connected to the operation have since been arrested.

Sanclemente is believed to be on the run in Argentina or Mexico. Although authorities made an attempt to track the glamorous Colombian through the address to which her beloved pet, a pomeranian lapdog, was registered, it only led them to an abandoned warehouse.

Police are investigating the potential complicity of staff at the Buenos Aires airport.
