Bogota authorities said Sunday they found a minivan stacked with explosives the FARC wanted to use in terrorist attacks in Colombia’s capital.
The explosives were found in a minivan near the center of the city, Colombia’s intelligence agency DAS announced Sunday. The explosives allegedly were found near the center of the capital and meant to be used in several attacks on the city.
According to newspaper El Espectador, the minivan contained close to a ton of explosives.
Local and national security authorities immediately held an emergency meeting. DAS-director Felipe Muñoz declared the security forces are on alert to guarantee the safety of all bogotanos.
