The Colombian department of Antioquia voted a new Miss to represent
the paisas in the upcoming Miss Colombia election. Meet
Miss Antioquia, Macri Velez.
According to Medellin newspaper El Colombiano, candidate Nathaly Quiceno beat the final winner in support from the audience, but was denied the title.
Velez, a 20-year old architecture student, will be sent to Cartagena in November to represent Antioquia and try to be Colombia’s officially most beautiful woman.
Second most beautiful of Antioquia is Manuela Posada and third most beautiful was voted Natalia Sanchez.
Velez took the time to answer questions by the jurors and responded self assured. Hopefully she will not be as hilarious in Cartagena as the previous Miss Antioquia, Veronica Velasquez.
