Seven people were arrested in Bogota for the sexual abuse, torture and suspected kidnapping of 43 victims.
According to El Espectador, those accused used a rehabilitation center for drug addicts as a base to sexually abuse and torture addicts who entered for treatment.
The families of some of the victims reported the abuse to authorities, who managed to capture those responsible after following them for several months.
According to authorities 43 people held against their will were found inside the center. It is not yet clear if they were kidnapped.
Several victims stated that they had been made to do forced labor and perform sexual acts, El Espectador reported.
Police will undertake further investigation into the case.
